An Invitation to
A
RADICAL
PARADIGM
SHIFT
Financial systems that focus on equitable, eco-centric, and regenerative transactions.
FINANCE FOR A REGENERATIVE FUTURE
Beyond Bretton Woods will trigger a radical paradigm shift in the purpose, principles and practices that underpin the systems and institutions that collectively make up the international financial architecture. The initiative attempts to deliver outcomes which best serve the interests of humanity and nature, ensuring inclusive and equitable outcomes, as well as quality of life for all.
POLICY
TRIGGERS FOR A NEW FINANCIAL ARCHITECTURE
Designing transformative financial solutions and policy recommendations that address both structural fault lines and crisis challenges.
BBW calls for a profound change in the purpose and structure of finance. Private citizens have ceded governance of planetary health and human wellbeing to an economic and financial paradigm (neoliberalism, with its belief in perfect markets), whose operating system is programmed for endless GDP growth and profit. This needs to be replaced by a new paradigm aligned with planetary boundaries, human health imperatives and a new moral code.
INTERGENERATIONAL COLLABORATION
THE VITAL ROLE OF INTERGENERATIONAL COLLABORATION
At the heart of the radical paradigm shift lies the indispensable value of intergenerational involvement. As stewards of our planet, we hold a responsibility not just to the present, but to future generations who are inheriting the consequences of our actions. By engaging people of all ages in the dialogue and actions toward a sustainable future, we harness a collective wisdom that ensures a legacy of environmental and financial stewardship and resilience for generations to come. BBW’s thinking and practice is very much inspired by the guidance of Roman Krznaric, articulated in his excellent book The Good Ancestor.
